Terms of Use

Welcome to Oiskos. Oiskos helps college students build a life where they are through real-world connection, growth, contribution, exploration, and meaningful experiences. These Terms govern the Oiskos app, website, and related services.

Who May Use Oiskos

Oiskos is primarily for college and university students. You must be at least 16 to create an account. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you represent that you have any consent required by law. Oiskos is not intended for children under 13.

Accounts and Participation

You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your credentials, activity through your account, and reporting suspected compromise. Do not impersonate another person. Participation in Daily Practices, Experiences, Chapters, and Journeys is voluntary. Use your judgment and do not complete activity that creates danger, violates law or university rules, trespasses, invades privacy, or conflicts with your health, accessibility needs, or circumstances. Completion generally operates on the honor system.

Organizations and User Content

Approved organizations may create Journeys. They may not mislead, pressure students, haze, unlawfully discriminate, collect sensitive information unnecessarily, promote illegal activity, or violate our Community Guidelines. You retain ownership of photos, reflections, Memories, and other User Content, while granting Oiskos a limited license to operate the features you choose. Private Memories are not made public merely because you upload them.

Respect, Safety, and Acceptable Use

Do not harass, pressure, record, photograph, repeatedly contact, embarrass, or interfere with others. Do not threaten, bully, haze, promote violence or illegal conduct, exploit minors, distribute malware, scrape data, spam, commit fraud, infringe rights, or circumvent security. Use reasonable judgment about safety, weather, traffic, alerts, accessibility, and restrictions. In an emergency, contact emergency services or campus authorities.

Changes and Contact

Features may be added, changed, removed, or tested. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with law, or prevent abuse. Oiskos is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. These Terms are governed by Illinois law.
